Our private and corporate event services cater for any location, group size or age. We offer all of our usual class types, and usually can accomodate special requests outside of our existing class options.
Option 1: Painting class
This is by far our most popular option, and appeals to all ages, abilities, and is flexible for a diverse group. Everything is provided for, including paint, paint brushes, cups for brush water, aprons, napkins, and easels for the canvases. You have the option of painting on our standard class canvas boards, which are premium-quality, rigid, 3mm thick 40x50cm boards, with a layer of canvas on one face, or you can upgrade to our premium framed stretched canvases, also 40x50cm (see our supplementary prices for more information which you'll recieved if you request a pricelist). We have a number of stand-up easels available, though we always recommend seated painted classes with table-top easels.
Theme: feel free to choose from any of the paintings from our catalogue linked - if you would like variations on what is there, such as colours, let us know, as we’ll let you know if it’s possible. Otherwise, if you have a group with more than 15 and you have a theme of your own in mind, we may be able to design you a custom painting at no extra cost. Remember, even though we have a theme for the class, everyone can paint what they want, and they don’t have to copy the artist stroke for stroke! The instruction is only there for those who want it.

We travel up and down the SEQ coast and have lots of experience setting up in new venues, offices and homes. We also have a number of partner venues that we have already worked with. See below.
We can come to a venue of your choice. We are used to liasing with new venues and find they are often open to hosting your event. We have a growing number of partner venues to host your event at from the Gold Coast to Brisbane. View more info below.
We have hosted many events from with-in the office space. Here are two office event set-ups we did in the city: one in a boardroom and one smaller team event in their staff room. Let us know if you would like to hire any pop-up tables and bench seating for your space if needed.
We have hosted many in-homes events, and are flexible on arrival time to work in with the event you're hosting. If you don't have enough table space, you can hire from us pop-up tables and seating if required.
We do all the work, so you can focus on organising your event.
Your host artist will contact you before they leave so you know they are on their way. If you are setting up a space in preparation for the class, we recommend you have a look at our set-up guide for arranging the seating and space linked here.
Your host artist will arrive before the class to set-up. This is 30 minutes to 2 hours before start time depending on the class size. If there are more than twenty participants, our artist will bring an assistant with them, and then an extra assistant for every twenty-five participants after that (for really big events!) We will look after the set-up of the class, but might need access to a sink, a rubbish bin, and an unloading bay to easily bring the materials with somewhere to park.
If you're doing painting, or a messy activty, no need to worry; we’ll bring plastic cloths for the tables if needed and if you’re especially worried about the carpet, we can also bring drop-sheets at your request. We clean up everything at the end of the event.
The class will take about 2.5hrs, which includes 2 hours of instruction, and then 30 mins to finish up, where the artist can walk around and help anyone needing a hand.
The artist will bring an example piece of your activity and then will re-create a live example with step-by-step instructions. The artist (and assistant/s if applicable) will make sure everyone is on track in-between, and will give advice on technique and direction. If anyone wants to create something completely different from the main theme, this is a good opportunity to check-in with the artist if they'd like advice. Afterwards, we pack everything up.
The class will take about 2.5hrs, which includes 2 hours of instruction, and then 30 mins to finish up. Allow for the set-up time, which will be 30 minutes for small classes under 10, or 2 hour for classes over 140 participants. Pack-up is usually about the same.
While our private events are most affordable in groups larger than 13, we can still cater to any number, including small groups. Prices start at $29 per person for groups over 26. The price per person works on a sliding scale, where it becomes cheaper per person the more who participate. The cost covers everything needed to run the class, including use of kit, supplies, and the artist (plus assistant/s if applicable). For extras, such as a travel surcharge for locations outside of Inner Brisbane, or supply upgrades, please see the Supplementary Costs List sent with your pricelist. If you’d like to go ahead with a booking, check with us if we can do your preferred time and date. Once we find a date that works for both of us, we’ll pencil you in during the booking process, which means we’ll let you know if someone else tries to book the same time. We'll then ask you to fill in a booking form so we can send you an invoice, and your place then gets guaranteed once we receive the deposit, (or for smaller groups the full invoice as per our payment terms.)
